1. Introduction: The Cultural Tour in Jiangxi online program is sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation, and is organized by Nanchang University. The majority of participants are from Hasanuddin University and Udayana University, the partner university with which we established our Confucius Institute. The program is designed to expand international students’ understanding of Chinese culture and information about Jiangxi Province, and further boost their enthusiasm to know about China and Jiangxi. The teaching practice of the online program will include live streaming and recorded broadcast with the aid of chineseplus.com and “Chinese Bridge” website. Students will have a valuable opportunity to learn about the rich history of Jiangxi and China. More importantly, they will get to know China’s latest breakthroughs and accomplishments in economy, science, culture and education. This program highlights the participants’ perceptions of China’s social information and serves to elevate students’ Chinese competence, so as to achieve the dual goal of language learning and cultural exchange. This online cultural program will assist participants to travel beyond the cloud and experience the unique charms about Chinese culture. Cultural exchange and interactions are realized through online platforms, overcoming the limitations of off-line teaching and implementing the transition of Chinese teaching methods under the new circumstances. 2. Courses: This program spans 5 days from 7.12 to 7.16 (including the opening ceremony and closing ceremony), during which 50 lectures will be conducted on Chinese Language Training, Chinese Cultural Lectures and Virtual tour of Jiangxi (Enjoy Jiangxi Online). The program takes the form of “30-minute video lecture” and “30-60-minute real-time teaching or online activities”. The former will focus on a specific subject, while the latter will allow interactions among lecturer and students featuring Q&A.
